Layouts
When developing layouts I would do it in 5 steps using Photoshop.
1. Gather references (e.g Moodboards)
2. Bird's eye view of what it will look like
3. Draw a rough sketch of your idea
4. Draw layout
5. Colour in
For Example: The Police Station

Colour Concept
STEP TWO: Bird's eye view of what it will look like
This will allow an easy understanding of what the rest of the room looks like for drawing different angles of the room.
STEP FOUR: Draw Layout
Drawing out your layout is now easier because of step two.
STEP ONE: Gather references
Gathering information helps to develop the image in your mind. They help to make your images more realistic.
STEP FIVE: Colour in
Now colouring is mixed with adding texture and shadow to your image.

STEP THREE: Draw a rough sketch of the idea.
This allows you to plan out what you are drawing. It also allows others to get an idea of your final design and ask you to make changes to your design at an early stage.
